Commission Guidelines
At The WAAAGH Studios we aim to bring you the best service we possibly can. At all times your work will be completed to the best of our ability, as fast as possible, and we will aim to stay in constant communication with you ensuring you are up to date on the progress of your commission.

When enquiring about a commission please include as much detail as possible including which models are involved, colour schemes, basing requirements, conversion requests and any deadlines you might have. This will allow us to give you an accurate quote for how much the project will cost.

The WAAAGH Studios is based in the United Kingdom but don't let this put you off if you're from further afield. We've completed projects for people from all over the world including Australia, the US, Thailand and even for one person stationed on a military aircraft carrier. We'll always try to keep postage costs to a minimum and ensure your items are packaged very securely to avoid damage.

Pricing

Prices are determined on a case by case basis. If you'd like to receive a quote please email in a list of the models you would like completed along with some information on colour schemes, basing requirements, assembly specfics etc. We have multiple painting levels available so there's always an option that will fit your budget.

Assembled Models

We're happy to accept models that are already assembled however please make sure all mould lines and flash are removed before sending them in. If this isn't done we will need to do that ourselves and add the costs for this onto the final total.

Purchasing Models

If you do not wish to supply the models yourself there is also the option of having us purchase them for you. This can be from any online retailer and can include anything from models to bases or even individual parts for conversion purposes.

For all purchases we will require payment upfront for the costs of the models and any shipping charges.

Payment

We use Paypal for any commission payments as it is fast, simple and easy to use.

Before work commences we require 25% of the total amount upfront as a non-refundable deposit plus the cost of any models that we need to purchase. If you're sending in models all shipping costs including any additional charges such as customs or import duty will also need to be covered.

After payment is received your work will be entered into our project queue and if there are projects ahead of yours they will be completed first. We'll give you an estimated start time when booking in your project but as this is a queue system please bear in mind this is only an estimate so delays are very possible if the projects before yours take longer than planned.

After the commission has been completed the remaining 75% of the total payment plus any shipping costs will be required. If you are unable to pay for a commission for any reason we will hold the items for upto 30 days. After this time the models, as well as any money already paid, will be forfeited and we will have the right to do with them as we wish. At our discretion payments can still be made for projects after this date though they will incur a late payment fee of 10% of the project total.

Shipping

Shipping costs will be worked out after the project has been completed to ensure they're as accurate as possible. This will then be added onto the total and the models will be shipped after the final payment has been processed. Insurance and tracking can be added at the client's discretion though we would advise to do so.

We always endeavour to keep postage and packaging costs to a minimum but will ensure that models are well packaged. All commission work will be boxed and placed in foam inserts similar to those found in army carry cases to ensure they are well secured and protected. While we do try our best we cannot guarantee that the models will reach you in perfect condition as many factors beyond our control come into play with the postal service.

Re-scheduling Commissions

If you're sending in models and, for whatever reason, are unable to get them to the studio before the project is scheduled to start please let us know as soon as possible. If required we can reschedule your commission for a later date however with larger projects (over £150) we will need to take a second deposit payment to secure the new slot in our project queue.
